2023 Alain Burguet Gevrey Chambertin 1er Les Champeaux

Burguet's small parcel sits in a cool, elevated section of Les Champeaux overlooking all of Gevrey, where shallow and exceptionally rocky soils cover limestone bedrock. The vineyard is so steep that it has to be plowed by horse. The resulting wine combines floral and spicy aromatics with firm structure, fine tannins and the freshness of this high slope site.
